AnT Sale
The Art/not/Terminal Show was a success in getting a large number of people in to see the art. I sold some canvases, a necklace and a collage (see last post: SOLD). Thank you to the buyers for your investment in my artistic endeavors! At left are pics of the two canvases sold. Coming up is the Puget Sound Gift Show. (See below) Hope to see some of you there!

Show and sale
I'm pretty excited to be a part of this show. It sounds like a good time and maybe I'll actually sell some collage and jewelry. There will be a large piece hanging in the gallery for the month of November as well. I haven't decided which one yet though. Any suggestions?

Whew! Just finished posting an entry to a show in Seattle. Learning how to use photoshop is a challenge. It took me 3 hours to get the images right and upload them to the entry page. Here's the new one. I entered this and 'Muse' (see earlier posting). I call this one 'Suits' Note the newspaper articles used in the design. ;-) If you double click on the photo, you get detail. Clicking on 'comments allows you to do that.

Next!

I've been doing small collages like this one. They are a great way to practice design and layering. I'm struggling with color and this is a good way to explore that as well.
I have two sales coming up. One in Seattle at the ANT Gallery on Westlake on November 3rd and one at the Puget Sound Artists Gift Show in Edmonds at Art Works on November 28th. I'll have stone, bone and wood bead jewelry in both of them as well as small 2-D works. Somehow I've got to produce and still run around after Valerie, keep house and books and...well you all know! New challenges every day. Glad there's some fun in it. And I don't know what I'd do without the end of the day connection with my best friend. He puts up with a lot and somehow still wants me around.

Tah dah!
I can't decide if I'm going to be bold enough for this venture into the art of communicating. We'll see.
My visual art is developing and finding direction so fast, it's a bit frightening. There's been so much to explore and learn that it's been difficult to pull it all together into a coherent series that expresses ME. The good news is that no matter how hard I'm concentrating or how difficult the artistic decision and vision is, I still find myself laughing inside when I get it right. God is good. I hope I can manage to hold on to His hand through it all. The above work entitled 'Laughing Bird" expresses pretty well how I feel about my work when it all comes together.
